I have eaten at Famous for the past 2 years, since I moved to Southport, NC. This is the best food in town; everything from the calzones to the fried chicken is AMAZING. The service is great, especially since they have changed up the waitstaff. I realize that some people have gotten bad service from the posts that I have seen, but I haven't personally experienced anything first hand. I have always had a great experience with the waitstaff and the cooks. The waitstaff will sit down and take your order, they are very personable. The cooks even bring out your food occasionally to go the extra mile to connect with you. I personally like the fact that it is family owned and operated. You won't walk in without an owner or family member being around. For those who don't know or haven't been there, they would realize that the "owner" who they were talking about that wasn't looking them in the eye has a glass eye because of an accident as a kid. It's wrong to judge a place because of one bad ex
