My mother brought our 12 year old cat in because she was vomiting at the recommendation of her regular vet because her liver enzymes weren't right. We thought she would get the best care possible. The reality is, our cat got tortured to death. It all started when they wanted to biopsy her liver and check for cancer. During the procedure, they managed to puncture her colon. \r \r What followed was a phone call to my mother saying that the cat needed to be rushed into surgery and needed approval and money before they could operate. Are you kidding? We had to pay for ACVS’s negligence. After my mother gave the green light, our poor cat waited over an hour and a half for the surgery. The surgeon said it would have gone better the sooner she got in. If that’s the case, why did you wait around for over an hour? Complete and total incompetence.\r \r After the surgery our cat wasn't herself. Her abdomen was filling with fluid and she looked like a balloon. Did they draw some off to relieve pressure? No. Did they bother to figure out where it was coming from? No. All they did was continue pumping fluids into her via IV and shoved a feeding tube up her nose and down her throat. Our cat suffered every minute while she was at ACVS and ultimately died there because of they were just too inept. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. They don’t care about your pet, just your wallet.\r
