Review content:
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I'm absolutely appalled by the treatment I received at Southeast Valley Vet. My little dog was attacked by a neighbor's large dog and had to be rushed to the Emergency Vet. She suffered sever lacerations and punctures. The treatment she received that evening was good. At discharge the staff indicated that my dog needed to return in 5 days to get the drains removed from her neck and return in 10 days to get the stitches removed for free. I took by dog back 5 days later to get the drains removed. I also informed the vet that she had not been eating for two days, her skin was extremely dry and that she was gnawing her paws incisively.
The vet's response is ""what do you want me to do?"" I told him I wanted him to remove the drains and give her a look over because of the secondary symptoms she was having. He immediately told me she may have Pancretitis and I should have blood work done. I told him it was more likely that it is related to the injury she suffered. He again asked, ""what do you want me to do?"" I asked him if I should go to my regular vet because of his empathy. I told him that the only reason I came to Southeast was because the followup was free. He snapped at me and told me ""no it's not, who told you that?"" I told him the staff. He then left the room and started interrogating his staff in the back. I could here every word, of which he was very ""disrespectful and rude' in his comments about me and the situation. When his staff came into the room, I informed them that I could hear their conversation in the back and she shrugged her shoulders and said, ""so, like I care!""
I have never received such rude and unprofessional treatment. The vet had no concern for my dog or her condition, was extremely rude and unprofessional in his communication to me and was annoyed that I had made the appointment. I WILL NEVER GO BACK!! I immediately left the office and called my regular vet for an appointment.
