Review content:
I had high hopes for Dr. Benjamin - the office is very nice, and the front desk was very friendly and helpful. But after being taken into the back, I had one assistant do my intake and several tests and exams. I told her my symptoms very specifically. Then she dilated my eyes and said it would be a few minutes until I could have my next tests. Then I waited for about a half hour, then another assistant came in and did all the same tests again. Another half hour, and the same assistant came back and did the tests for a third time. Finally, 90 minutes after being taken into the room, the doctor finally arrived. After talking to me for five minutes, he determined I needed a different test based on my symptoms - the same symptoms I told the assistants. But that test can't be done with dilated eyes, so could I come back? He was very brusque. When I said I wanted the most accurate results possible, he said we should wait. I told him I didn't want to pay for another visit, so he said fine, we'll do the test. I asked him why they dilated my eyes earlier, and he barked ""Until I come in you haven't seen a doctor."" After the test he told me I had nothing wrong with my eyes. When I told him again of my symptoms he threw his hands up and said I should consult a neurologist. My appointment was at the end of the day, and he and the staff seemed really ready to go home. I was very put off by his demeanor. I need a doctor that is friendly and sympathetic, not aggressive and curt.
Pros: Nice office.
Cons: Not enough explanation of tests and results, ignored symptoms
