Called for a State inspection appointment. Was told an appointment was not needed, just bring the car in. Car was checked in for a state inspection at 11:35 and I was told it would be about an hour. 11:50, I was called out to the service area and was asked by another rep what I wanted done. Repeated info about needing a state inspection. Service department rep stated although it was a safety inspection, he was not sure his guys could do it, since it wasn't a honda. Stated he was not sure they would know how to take a wheel off to inspect a brake. Told me I should have called before I came and he would have told me to go some where else. I informed him I had called and was told to bring it in. He told me he wished he could finf out who was answering the service department phone and telling customers they did not need an appointment. Car was parked 1.5 hours and not touched. I asked for my keys and left. Curiously they have a sign in the waiting room that states "Customer service is the life blood of an organization...Customer service is not a department, it's an attitude". How true.
