I found that Master Blankenship was very knowledgable about all aspects of martial arts training and takes a genuine interest in the progress and well being of his students. I've never found a school or an instructor that incorporates the training of the body with the training of the mind, from combat and weapons styles to meditation and tai chi. This school has it all.
The woman who claimed that Blankenship Martial Arts is "creepy and cult like" is an instructor at a competing martial arts school called Austin Chayon-Ryu. She obviously has no experience with meditation or the mental aspect of martial arts. And her conduct is disappointing to say the least. If she finds it necessary to slam her competitors in order to make her school look good, then she understands very little about the true nature of martial arts philosophy.
