I've been to a lot of steakhouses in LA, and I have to say that this is both the Best Steak and the Best Deal that I have ever had! When you step into the Porterhouse, you are greeted by friendly smiles, and the first thing you notice is the positive, warm, energetic, atmosphere! It is obvious that everyone is happy to be there, even the servers! You can't say that for many places in LA.\r

The Prix Fixe Menu at the Porterhouse is a real experience; warm bread with roasted garlic and bruscetta, a delicious salad or amazing onion soup, a tremendous steak, a tasty dessert AND two glasses of wine.... for $40!!! I was suspicious at first, but really pleased at the end.\r

The service was friendly, prompt, efficient, and, again, energetic. They seem to have a great system worked out where they can give you this great deal and still maintain a high level of quality.
Pros: great steak, great deal!
Cons: Lots of garlic, bring mouthwash!
