I just moved here from Maryland and had to board my 12 year old, poodle mix, Shelby, for a long weekend. I had a really great facility in MD that she was used to, so I was really nervous. She never eats the first day (sometimes two) when I leave her, it just takes her a little while to settle in at a new place. You wouldnt believe the places that just pretend she was "Great" and when I ask for her leftover food tell me she ate it all. I was so impressed with the people at Kathys - they not only callled me on day two to let me know she had only nibbled at her food, but they also returned her unused food to me so I knew exactly how much she had eaten. An honest, friendly place that is even open for Sunday pick up.
