While I have been hardened to aggressive pricing by service businesses, Haselow/Austin takes the cake. I might squirm at $100/hr labor rates and 100% markups on parts. Austin goes way beyond this. I had already paid $89 to get them on site to check out my A/C. They had a little cover off of my A/C condensor outside to do their inspection. There are two components under that little cover. A set of contacts and an electrical condensor. Both parts cost $24 to buy from a parts store nearby. With the cover already off, it was 10 minutes to install each of the two parts. They charged $132 to replace the contacts and were about to charge me $252 to replace the condensor when I called them on the price gouging. They played dumb to this. Said everybody pays that without objecting... like I am the problem for mentioning it. They wouldn't budge when I called and talked to the president of the company. I wish Wisconsin had price gouging laws. I would go after these dispicable people with a vengean
