I, too, followed Sydney from Sojo Blau where I stumbled upon him when looking for a salon in Madison. In fact, the first day I met him he had just received the news that Sojo Blau's loft was closing...and had already set up his new arrangement at Studio Quest. I was soon to discover there was a reason he was only displaced for a matter of hours. I was looking for a new stylist who was in tune with that magic combination of knowing modern trends and also having the ability to know how to fashion that trend into what is most flattering to your face and workable for your hair type. \r The first time I sat in Sydney's chair, I told him what 2 styles I was considering. He listened to me, then told me that he did not think I would be happy with one of the hairstyles I had in mind because of the way I was dressed and the way I presented myself...and proceeded to interpret what he perceived as my style into the best haircut I have ever had. It was totally me and he knew it before I did. After
