Charlene has been cutting and coloring my hair a billion different ways for over 10 years. From bright red short razor cuts to subtle blonde highlights and lowlights on long hair, Charlene has always listened and delivered exactly what I was looking for. Charlene Quest has been cutting and coloring my hair for almost 10 years. She is an artist and cuts layers that add life to my thin, straight hair. The color combination of low light/highlights she does for me lasts a year and really brightens my look. The shop also has Purple Goose clothes and accessories that are adorable. more

Studio Quest is the salon I was searching for. Charlene Quest is talented, artistic, intelligent and fun to talk to. She is extremely knowledgeable about cuts and hair color and is an excellent choice if you want a big city hair cut at a reasonable price. Charlene is the best! more

It's hard to find a hair stylist that you know and trust that can do a good job but once you do you never want to see anyone else. Charlene Quest is awesome and I will never go to anyone else or anywhere, She's got my business for life! more

I, too, followed Sydney from Sojo Blau where I stumbled upon him when looking for a salon in Madison. In fact, the first day I met him he had just received the news that Sojo Blau's loft was closing...and had already set up his new arrangement at Studio Quest. I was soon to discover there was a reason he was only displaced for a matter of hours. I was looking for a new stylist who was in tune with that magic combination of knowing modern trends and also having the ability to know how to fashion that trend into what is most flattering to your face and workable for your hair type. \r The first time I sat in Sydney's chair, I told him what 2 styles I was considering. He listened to me, then told me that he did not think I would be happy with one of the hairstyles I had in mind because of the way I was dressed and the way I presented myself...and proceeded to interpret what he perceived as my style into the best haircut I have ever had. I followed Sidney from Sojo Blau to Studio Quest and think he is the best in town. He can do exactly what you tell him to do, and he is also wonderful at doing what he thinks is best...if that is what you want. He is amazingly intuitive about what looks good. Check him out at Studio Quest. more

This hair salon is a great, innovative space with talented hair stylists. They can do fabulous things with extensions and dyes, etc. but make sure to be assertive in what you want. If you want your hair to look like Cameron Diaz, bring a picture in. They like to take free reign and try out new styles -- if you want a basic cut, go somewhere cheaper and less trendy. more
