Gerhards is tucked away on east main in Spartanbug by the old Converse Cinemas. It has a Bavarian, old-world atmosphere complete with plenty of woodwork, low lighting and a beautiful fireplace on the patio. \r

The food is world class---their menu boasts everything from weiner schnitzel to duck to roast pork. Their cold salad plate includes an assortment of cold vegetable salads and their mixed green salad w/thai vinegrette is fantastic! Gerhards also has a well-stocked bar. \r

The portions are enormous--definately consider splitting an entree. It can get a little pricey, but two people can enjoy a very nice gourmet meal for less than $40 (w/o alcohol.)
