Review content:
On first visit, Dr. Cain seemed pretty darn good. He was nice, seemed sincere and took time to get to know me. Soon after I found problems; he had suggested that based on the test results that brought me to him, I may have one of many degenerative muscle problems. Yet after dropping this bomb, he became extremely difficult to get in touch with and when I could get him on the phone his answers were short, simple and he did not listen to my concerns. On my final visit, when I came to get some possibly life-changing test results, he walked in the room and said 'I don't know why you're here, we don't have the results.' I told him his assistant had phoned me the day before saying otherwise. While looking through his file he said 'well I left early yesterday to go see a baseball game, so I wouldn't know.' He found the results, though. At the end of the whole affair (two months worth of worrying and several tests including a surgery) he asked me a simple question 'had I worked out the day before my original test'--the one that lead to my first visit to him. I had answered in the affirmative on my first visit and did so again. He said the original result was probably due to nothing more than the stress of the workout and I was just fine. $3000 and two months worth of worry too late. Another (smaller) issue was his pretension. He did not seem to realize that many comments he made about my profession were extremely rude and condescending. Another review has already addressed the rude nursing staff.
I have just returned from my primary care physician who tells me MOST OF HIS PATIENTS REPORT BAD EXPERIENCES WITH DR. CAIN
Pros: they got the job done (finally), and referred me to good doctors
Cons: Cain's pretention, lack of contact, disregard for a patient's worries, DID NOT listen to patient
