Review content:
I just had the WORST successful ultrasound experience at this place.. I'm 10wks pregnant & away from home. This is a high-risk pregnancy for me for many reasons and I've had numerous losses. Because of this my OB wants me to have weekly u/s to make sure the baby is OK When I'm home I can have my u/s right in the office, but out here I have to go to a radiology center. I went to West Coast radiology last week in Irvine and besides from some front desk confusion it was overall a positive experience. Today in SA it was horrid.\r

First of all the tech wouldn't even let me see the screen. This is my 4th pregnancy. I have NEVER not been allowed to see the screen. Even when at 41 weeks and in labor a heartbeat couldn't be found I was allowed to see the screen. At 12 weeks during a miscarriage I was allowed to see the screen. But today when I'm coming in for among other things reassurance I'm not allowed?!?!?! Unbelievable. When I asked why I wasn't allowed to see the teach replied ""that's how I do it"".\r

Since I'm away from home my husband can't accompany me. Given my history I hate u/s and asked a friend to meet me. Even after I explained to her about my 4 previous losses & how I find that I need some support from my friend she tried to not let her up. Eventually however she came into the room. Unfortunatley at that point we were in transvaginal mode and I was totally exposed. Even after asking repeatedly for a sheet (which was provided w/o asking the week before in Irvine) she left me there feeling violated. When I insisted on a sheet I had a hand towel thrown on me.\r
\r
At the end I was briefly and condescendingly shown that my baby has a heartbeat .I was then given a box of kleenex and told to get dressed. No privacy. I tried to cover myself as best as I could w/my too small robe & hand towel, and wait for her to leave but she never did. I am returning to this place to lodge a formal complaint. In the meantime if you need a diagnostic u/s I suggest you look elsewhere.
Pros: they call you in fast
Cons: no bedside manner, rude, cruel, inhuman, total lack of compassion
