This is a newer hospital / animal clinic. Because of its proximity we took our dogs there. On a Saturday afternoon one of my dogs became very sick. I called 1/2 hour before closing and they wouldn't see my dog. They told me to take him to a 24 hour ER clinic and the care there was horrible. They wanted to give him an IV when he wasn't even dehydrated or running a temperature. It cost me $500. to get her treated. I was upset that Lawrence wouldn't take a good amd regular customer.\r \r My other dog was injured in a local dog park and she was rushed to Lawrence. The vet took 30 minutes getting an IV in her as she cried in pain. It was the last surgery of the day. I told the vet how sensitive to medication she was. We decided to have the ER surgery. I felt the vet wanted to leave early and rushed on the surgery. The surgery was ""successful"" but my poor sweet dog died on the surgery table as her heart stopped. The surgery was $1800. plus, in the 45 minutes she was on the table. Our dog died we had to pay in full, plus they wanted to charge more to freeze her and put her in a buriel plot. We chose to take her body home and bury her under the apple tree, rather than give them more money.\r \r The doctor was not sympathetic, just another business day to him. I feel their overhead is sky high and it is a business as opposed to a caring place to take your pets. \r \r I'd advise if living in Santa Clara to find a smaller place with vets who have a personal interest in their clients and pets. YOU PAY FOR THE OVERHEAD AND LOCATION OF LAWRENCE. Also, go to a pet clinic at Petsmart or another store for rabies shots and the 6 in one. They are priced better and seem happy doing their jobs.\r \r NG\r Santa Clara, California\r \r
