Review content:
March 28, 2008 I purchased a 56"" 2008 Trek Madone from Bicycle Jones Inc owned by Nancy T Booth for $3,845 including shipping to North Carolina. Bicycle Jones Inc failed in every aspect of this transaction except in taking my money. They failed 3 times to get the bike shipped out as promised,to provide me a tracking number & to securely package the bike as promised. Nancy Booth told me UPS refused their original packaging causing a 7 day delay. They failed to return phone calls, multiple emails & to provide a bill of sale, manual or bike documentation.\r \r bike arrived April 10,08 damaged w/ a complete fracture of the carbon frame & multiple deep scratches. A total loss & completely unusable. Bicycle Jones failed to take responsibility or offer resolution except forcing me to submit the evidence to UPS myself for THEIR insurance claim on THEIR UPS account. I requested money back immediately, manager Chris Jones refused.\r \r Per manager, Chris Jones? request, I took the bike and box on April 14, 2008 to my local Trek dealer & met with their head mechanic. They did find the frame to be thoroughly cracked & a total loss. They were appalled to find a $3,000+ bike in a box built for an $800 Trek 1.2 bike. They showed me an unopened Madone box & how it was packaged. I saw all this padding, bubble wrap & foam covering every part of the bike. I saw all the missing braces to divide and secure the parts. There were absolutely no similarities. That was the final straw.\r \r When I finally got Chris on the phone I asked for a full-refund & explained my frustration. He became very defensive, hostile & refused to refund my money willingly so now I'm forced to take legal action. They have left me no choice, but to warn the public about their poor customer service. When asking for a refund, Chris actually asked me, ""So you expect me to pay $4,000 for a damaged bike I cannot use?"" As if he had done something different to me? Buyers beware!!! Pros: take your money all day long Cons: take no responsibility for damaged equipment
