i had been a pt of dr cruz at buckey dermatology for several years. in 2008 he removed what is called an actenic kerotosis. these are precancerous skin spots. but he did not tell me what it was..just took it off and left a scar. well in 2010 i ended up with more. now this condition should have been explained to me in 2008 so i could have taken extra sun precautions such as higher sun screen usage , hats and just being all around aware and knowledage that these things do come back. he never told me this. in fact to find out about the spot in 2008 i had to have a nurse go through my records and admit it. the dr did tell me in 2010 , when i ended up with them again and this is when i had the nurse investigate. also in 2010 he gave me this awful creame to use on them that turned my face into a hamburger. he did not tell me about this side effect at all. after many frustrating calls to office etc i was forced to find a new dermatoligist. well good thing i did. she has given me photo light treatment a new options for aks and it has wonderful cosmectic results, no scaring fast healing time etc. the only reason i can think of that dr cruz did not offer this was he was scared my insurace would not pay and HE WOULD NOT GET HIS MONEY...NEVER MIND ABOUT TURNING MY LOVELY FACE INTO HAMBURGER!!!! He should have give me all my options. as an attractive young woman i did not wANT TO GO AROUND FOR WEEKS WITH A HAMBURGER FACE PLUS END UP WITH SCARS LIKE HE GAVE ME IN 2008. THE CREAME Has a high rate of scaring. dr cruz failed me really bad in so many ways. i would never go back there and i warn ANY ONE WHO CONSIDERS SEEING HIM YOU ARE TAKING A RISK. all he cares about is money. one more thing. when i did call his office manager to attempt to correct this before i left to go to another dr she was rude and acted like the whole thing was my fAULT. NEVER SAID SHE WAS SORRY. SHE HAD A VERY abrasive manner ""a smokers voice"" and a very hard way about her.
