This was my first experience with an appraisers, so I'm not sure how Ben compares to others. I was surprised by how much guesswork and subjectivity was in the process. Ben had an assistant who also gave her opinion, and that was reassuring. However, I left feeling uncomfortable with the way Ben handled the specs of my ring that had been printed on my band. For half, he worked numbers hoping to reach those specs, and half of the details were ignored. I was surprised and will seek a 2nd appraisal.
