There are some really kind Dr.'s at this Hospital. Such as Dr. Bob and Dr. Severs (LOVE THESE TWO), who know what they're talking about and they handle pets with respect and caring love. Today was an eyeopener though as I brought both of my pets in for the yearly check-up and to get my cat de-clawed. They didn't have the de-clawed scheduled even though I scheduled it in person a few days before. The assistant vet was very cold-hearted, didn't make conversation or say anything that could make the vibe in the room better.. awkward. Dr. Shamla came in and was kind at first, but then soon became awkward as well. I told them there wouldn't need to be any restraining my cats when they gave them shots (they are good if you scratched behind the ears they are really tame, it worked the other times I was in Dr. Severs office). However, they did not listen and tugged on skin were and held them down in a position unfamiliar to them. My cats were clearly in pain when they did this, and my cats have never been held down or treated like this before. It was very difficult to watch. My cats started to be very difficult after this making the vet think that they needed to be tamed even harder. My cats have never acted this way before and are usually very still and purrful at the vets if given shots as long as you petted them during the process. No kindness was given to them at the vets. Then they acted as if I was stupid for thinking that I could get the declaw done today, even though I was told everything was scheduled a few days before. They told me to leave my cat that I want delcawed at the vets and I'm supposed to pick my cat up sat morning (two days from now). It was so hard leaving one of my cats there, were i'm not sure whats going to be going on. If anyone is wondering the price-points of this place... its expensive. It can cost up to $600 for a declaw and I think today for two simple checkups it cost me $188 for a few shots on both cats. I don't reccomend going here if you can't afford it, the only reason i'm willing to pay it is because I know they have the right equipment to detect illnesses and such much faster then an older animal hospital.
