Review content:
If I could give zero stars I would.
I got a complete runaround trying to get into see Dr. D'Ambrosia, which ended up with no appointment and a LOT of wasted time.
Trying to get an appointment in June, no one from their office would ever call me back after I had left 4 different messages. By the time I got through they could only get an appointment for JANUARY 2012. Now 6 months seemed excessive to me, but I thought if I'm going to see a good doctor I guess that's what I'll have to do. ""Luckily"" there was a cancellation and they moved my appointment up to October. I explained that I have extreme panic attacks and would be coming medicated (Ativan & Valium) just so I could tolerate the exam. They told me that it was an average 45 minutes from the time of my appointment until I would likely see their doctor.
So forward to today - the day of my appointment. We had to wait for grandma to come and babysit our 2 year old, and then my husband and I headed down to Denver (from Highlands Ranch) for the appointment. There was no parking, and by the time we got up to Rocky Mtn OB/GYN's office I was now 15 minutes late. The receptionists didn't seem to care that we had problems locating the office - they were overbooked already. After 20 minutes of talking to the nurses/doctor/whoever they called me up to tell me they would need to reschedule - to AFTER JANUARY!!! YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING!
We ended up driving a total of 1.5 hours for this appointment, my husband had to take time off because I can't drive on anxiety medication, and now I have to start from scratch.
Dr. D'Ambrosia may be a great doctor, but I will NEVER find out because I don't think this is how a doctor should run their business. Sometimes things get in the way and the world doesn't run like clockwork. I accepted a 45 minute delay from their office, they couldn't accept a 15 minute delay from a new patient that has issues getting to a GYN in the first place. Guess numbers speak more than the individuals in their practice. Overbooking doesn't help ANYONE, just gets more people/copays/insurance claims in. I can't tell you how disappointed, frustrated, angry, and hurt I feel by my whole experience with Rocky Mtn OB/GYN.
