Review content:
As a quick reminder, Canyon Country isn't Italy. It is however a great neighborhood and has great local family owned restaurants like Caruso's. If you're looking for singing and dancing waiters you'll need to go elsewhere. If you're looking for a decent linguini with white clam sauce or a pasta marinara, than this is the place.
The service is ok, the decor is primitive, but my family still loves this place because the food is good and somewhat reasonably priced. If decor is your thing, I suggest take-out or buca di beppo's across town where the food is 1/2 as good but the decor is through the roof. I've been to Caruso's three times and haven't met the owners, but i have a feeling they're the old couple working behind the counter. This restaurant has a place in our hearts and bellies and its one of our local favorites.
