Review content:
The Pilot House is located in the waterfront section of Wilmington, NC on the beautiful Cape Fear River. The food is elegant, low county fare offered in an unpretentious, rustic setting. For appetizers we ordered the crab stuffed mushrooms, which were "to die for". At lunch, we sampled the fried green tomato and goat cheese salad, the shrimp salad, the grilled salmon club, and the Pilot House crabcake. Each entree was beautifully prepared and thoroughly enjoyed. The salads were fresh, plentiful, and came with excellent choices of dressings. The salmon club was wonderful on honey wheat bread. Finally, the crabcake was delicately seasoned and perfectly prepared. All four in our party would highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely come back when we visit the area again.
