I've learned if you are looking for drive thru pet care I would recommend them for the basics. Otherwise...I would suggest taking your furry family member to a more professional and caring hospital. My experience on Tuesday November 24th, if you can get past the sourpuss (and I don't mean a cat) at the front desk, over the holidays was talking to FOUR different doctors in the same day about my dogs issues. After waiting 50 minutes as a emergency walk in I got to see a doctor. I've been a client of Dearborns for about 8 years with my dogs. This was my first time needing emergency assistance and I will never go back. The entire staff was more concerned with their holiday schedules and shut down than their patients. After being in an out twice with my dog and talking to them on the phone, IN THE SAME DAY, I never got to see or talk to the same doctor. I had to explain my pets problems over and over to four different doctors; again, I have to stress, in the same day! They couldn't even read each others writing on the charts for medications that they already had given my dog. They suggested I monitor her for two days since they would be closing a half a day the day before Thanksgiving and would be closed on Thanksgiving and to bring her back on Friday if she wasn't any better. My dog suffered for the two days just for me to bring her back to them on Friday and then to tell me to take her to the GVS. That should have been their first suggestion the first day I brought her in to see them and they could not figure out what was wrong with her. I hope they figured out their holiday schedules! I wish I would have known about the GVS first. They GVS diagnosed what was wrong with her and after attempting several times to help and assist her we wound up losing our baby of 15years. After having to put our beloved baby down, we received several cards AND phone calls from the GVS staff stating their sympathy for our loss. Hmmmm....do you think we got a call or a card from one of the four veterinary doctors from Dearborn to see how she was doing? I'll let you guess. Yes, Dearborn she is better and doing well in heaven...! Pros: Good for the basics, but...... Cons: Lack of emergency care and ANY follow up!
