If you CARE about the HEALTH of you and your family/friends do NOT go to Raleigh ENT! This doctors office cares NOTHING for there patients! They only care about getting as much money as possible out of you and your insurance!! My family and I had gone to Raleigh ENT for over a decade, I thought they were doing a decent job despite not really solving any of my lifelong sinus issues. I never thought their was an issue because if the medicine/ testing/ treatments didn't work they would place the blame onto me. After leaving for college my sinuses had become so closed I couldn't breath through my nose; I found a local ENT since Raleigh ENT failed to help me. After Raleigh ENT faxed over my (phone book thick) records (a week after I'd asked) my new doctors did the very basic testing: head scan and allergy testing; these are tests that Raleigh ENT had done multiple times without any results. After my new doctor returned (within 15 minutes) with the head scan, I was shocked by what he showed to me. I had a severely deviated septum since birth and NO ONE had ever diagnosed it! After looking back at my visits to Raleigh ENT I recalled all of the passing of the buck (never consistently seeing the same doctor), if a treatment didn't work out it was my fault (since supposedly my body was rejecting the medication or the treatments), and the time consuming testing they would do. After spending hours getting my hearing tested they insisted on me going to a specialist, there I spent 3 hours in a waiting room before speaking with a doctor who didn't understand why I was even there since Raleigh ENT had already done the testing! This was just about getting the insurance money! The final straw was remembering my last visit: I arrived 5 minutes early to my afternoon appointment, the point of the appointment was a 6 month follow up for a hearing test. Once there I was told my insurance card had expired; I was on my mothers policy, she was also a patient but they insisted on having her fax over the new insurance card before they would let me in the back. After I called her and dealt with this issue they mentioned that the doctor was leaving soon (more than 1/2 early from closing time!) but despite this time issue they wouldn't let me see him until the fax came through. Once the fax came I was raced into the back where the doctor was already waiting. He didn't even know why I was there! After reminding him of my follow up he shrugged said there wasn't time nor was it necessary (contrary to what they'd said before, I was there to test if my hearing was getting progressively WORSE) , he wrote something in the file and stood up to leave. I quickly asked about getting a prescription for my sinuses which he whipped out his prescription pad after a quick glance at the LONG list of other meds I'd tried) wrote me a prescription and rushed me to the front check out. There the receptionists checked me out and asked for the co-pay; it was my moms plan and we'd met the deductible so I knew there wasn't one. I told them this and they refused to open the door to let me leave without paying the copay, they claimed if this was true the would refund the money (this never happened). This doctors office cares NOTHING for there patients! They only care about getting as much money as possible out of you and your insurance!!
