I discovered the South First store from the phone book ad for massage. I was somewhat fearful, since I've had touching issues most of my adult life, and had never had a massage before. I was dealing with pain from an arthritic hip, and needed to relax. I was prepared to be disappointed, but instead, I made a new best friend!\r

I've been getting a weekly massage from Melissa, the owner for over a year now. I find her work thorough, gentle yet firm, and very supportive of my physical and emotional path. After I had hip replacement surgery, I was very protective of my new hip. Melissa was considerate and adapted her massage routine to my needs. I was also fearful of intrusive energy work, which I have NOT experienced here! I don't really know what all she does, but it is so gentle, it feels like laying in the sand as the ocean gently rises under me. \r
