I discovered the South First store from the phone book ad for massage. I was somewhat fearful, since I've had touching issues most of my adult life, and had never had a massage before. I was dealing with pain from an arthritic hip, and needed to relax. I was prepared to be disappointed, but instead, I made a new best friend!\r \r I've been getting a weekly massage from Melissa, the owner for over a year now. I find her work thorough, gentle yet firm, and very supportive of my physical and emotional path. After I had hip replacement surgery, I was very protective of my new hip. Melissa was considerate and adapted her massage routine to my needs. I was also fearful of intrusive energy work, which I have NOT experienced here! I don't really know what all she does, but it is so gentle, it feels like laying in the sand as the ocean gently rises under me. \r \r Melissa has also assisted me in a myriad of ways, providing professional and health related contacts in her extensive persona more

I bought my massage table from morning star about 2 years ago. It was when they had 2 locations and I believe they may be back down to 1 now. I decided to write this review because there was a problem when I bought my table that was handled so poorly that I not only refuse to shop there I have discouraged many other therapists and friends from shopping there also.\r \r I picked out the table I wanted on-line by reading multiple reviews and checking prices for various companies. However I did not want to order on-line so I went to the morning star location that used to be on Burnet so I could see if I liked the table in person.\r \r They did not have the one I wanted so they sent me to their main location on south first street. I almost did not make it by closing because the traffic was so bad. But they had the table I wanted and also were offering a special if I bought the matching stool.\r \r So I decided to buy both the table and the stool, and even found some massage oil I wanted to try more

This is a very comfortable place to shop. The staff has been extremely helpful and friendly. They've always taken plenty of time with me, so I've never felt rushed. more
