First off, I loved taking my cat to see Dr. Holt.\r \r Dr. Meussen, however, is another story. I took my cat to see her (Dr. Holt was not in that day) because she had a lesion on her back leg that was not healing and stayed moist. My cat kept licking the area and it was uncomfortable for her. Dr. Meissen came in for 2 minutes, poked the cat a bit and didn't ask questions. She gave her a penicillin shot, some antibiotics, and sent us home. Needless to say, she didn't think of performing a cytology or anything on my cat to see what the lesion was.\r \r After taking my cat to another vet for a second opinion, it was determined my one year old cat had a mast cell tumor that, thankfully, had few malignant cells. A biopsy and one recurrence later, my cat is healthy and more active and happy.\r \r I was very disappointed with Dr. Meussen's flippant attitude about what I had told her about my cat and the unusual characteristics of her lesion.
