I took my pet to VCA for surgery and had a terrible experience. Before the surgery I was not allowed to meet her surgical vet, Dr. McGrath. After the surgery, Dr. McGrath never returned a single phone call regarding my kitten's post-surgical complications, resulting in her having to return to the emergency care in the middle of the night.\r \r When I returned for her post-op visit, to have her sutures removed and her wound checked, Dr. McGrath's assistant said that she would be doing the removal and checking the wound complications, and that Dr. McGrath does not see his patients after surgery. She told us that NONE of the vets remove sutures or check wounds and that ALL procedures are done by unlicensed assistants, so I should let her take my kitten. At this point, I just took my kitten and got out of there.\r \r An hour later Dr. McGrath called me at my home, for the first time, and started screaming at me.
