I have used Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital for over 10 years for everything from emergencies to routine yearly examinations. I trust them immensely with my furry children. Every veterinarian I've had to deal with, including the interns, have been friendly, knowledgable and compassionate. I had a dog with a terminal illness (unknown at the time) who was hospitalized at this facility to try and treat him after I took him in emergently. He spent the night being monitored; I was contacted with updates every few hours. During the next day, he went into cardiac arrest - Dr. Mausbach worked to try to resuscitate him - but he could not be. She not only personally called me, but was herself very emotional - knowing they had done everything - with complete understanding of my immense grief. My current dog had an orthopedic injury - was treated by Dr. Petersen and with his and Dr. Mausbach's treatment - completely recovered. The office staff are also very good and caring.
