I'm copying this from my google review that I wrote a while back. I think they are so dangerous I think it necessary to be sure I post here and on other sites, too. To each their own, but please be careful of this practice! Here it is: After my first (and last) visit here, I vowed I would receive NO prenatal care before returning to this place. The front desk staff are rude. My first appointment took THREE HOURS - Im not exaggerating. It took 3 hours from arrival (I arrived 15 minutes early) to when I finally left. The doctor (Cotwright) actually recommended I use a painkiller with aspirin in it (every other doctor and medical professional I have spoken with besides them has literally dropped their jaw in shock when I tell them this). She didnt know answers to many of my questions but never took the time to look them up and give me the answers like she said she would. The ultrasound tech never told me that the first ultrasound is vaginal. I realize most women know this, but as this is my first baby I had no idea. The US tech literally just said, ""This will be cold"" as the only words to me from when I entered her room until the exam started and immediately after saying those words jammed the wand up inside me. When I cried (happily) upon seeing the baby on the screen, she looked at me with an annoyed expression and said in an equally annoyed voice, ""Whats wrong with you?"" Ummmmm, yeah. I was shocked. Of course, I had to ask to see the baby. She wasnt even going to let me see the baby until I asked. These are just a few examples of what makes them terrible - there were many more that occured in that 3 hour marathon visit where hardly any actual treatment happened, including a very painful PAP smear (the results of which have been magically lost). Honestly, DONT go to these people. They are incompetent, rude, impatient, and miserable. I would feel unsafe if any one of them were going to deliver my baby. I have asked my primary MD to stop referring patients to them and plan to call JCAHO to report them. Drive from wherever you are and try to get in to see Drs. Muth, Weber, and Oster in Long Beach - the are the greatest OBGYN docs around in comparison to anyone, nevermind the incompetent people at this office. Honestly, I think the the doctors at medical group- womens physicians are doctors like Dr. Dre is a doctor, or Dr. J or Dr. Pepper are doctors.
