Review content:
Called to ask what it would cost to get a bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine for our dog. Quoted $12 over the phone and that no appt was necessary. My husband took the dog in and was told it would be $18 and he needed an appt. which they scheduled for 4 pm. After they gave the vaccine, my husband was told the bill was $44. He asked why and was told they charged $34.50 for an office visit plus $12 for the vaccine. I called and spoke with the receptionist who stated the person in charge was not there but she would have him call me. I had called several vets to see how much they charged. I went to this vet because I was quoted a better price. I could have went to the vet up the street for less . We didn't drive to the Antioch Dog and Cat Hospital (twice) just to be charged four times the amount we were quoted. They need to inform customers of this additional charge like all the other vets I had called.
Pros: staff was friendly on the phone
Cons: charged 4 times more than quoted
