Review content:
Volkmann's recently replaced their jeweler of more than 40 years. While they have offered both jewelery and watch repair on site, they are losing their watch maker. Repairs will still be handled by the store however and will be sent off site, with the exception of battery and band replacement on most watches.\r
It is still the best selection of jewelery in the area outside Chicago and provides some of the finest products available. It sells Hearts on Fire diamonds which is available at limited locations and is not available anywhere else in Kankakee County. \r
As a family owned store, the selection of jewelery is made by the store manager Joyce Volkmann Yonke. They have a staff of four employees, one of which has been selling jewelry for many years and one with only recent experience. The other two have been with Volkmann's longer.\r
If they can find a new watch repair employee, they will again be on top with five stars, combining service and sales.
