I have had mixed experiences at Northside Hospital.
I had a wonderful experience with the ER staff after a car accident and was treated beautifully during an outpatient surgery.
Then there was the birth of my daughter.. The labor and delivery nurses were really kind, up until the prep for my c-section.. the nurse prepping me (I'm assuming she was a surgical nurse, but I'm not sure) was cruel.. I'd been through 30 hours of labor, my daughter's heart rate kept dropping, and I was adjusting to the fact that we were going to have a surgical birth.. and as she was prepping me, she was making fun of the hair growth I have on my stomach due to PCOS. My daughter had breathing problems and was taken to transitional care.. given a bottle despite the fact that we'd stated we did not want her to have one and wanted to nurse her as soon as possible (when questionned, the response was "well, we wanted to see if she'd eat" - and at that point, there was NO reason she couldn't have been brought to
