Ever since my 3 year old dog has gone to PHPH, I questioned the possibility of him having mites. I was told they didn't think so because, with a quick glance, they thought his ears looked too clean. June 2008, I decided to check for myself by using Skin So Soft on a cotton swab. To my horror, I discovered a TOM of mites in both ears. Poor Sky!, to have to tolerate this for over 2 years! I called PHPH and asked for any advice to rid these blood sucking parasites that could cause deafness. I was told he needed to be seen by the doctor...yeah, right. I went to Petco and bought a ten dollar bottle of Exel, an ear mite remedy. It works very well and I am getting less and less mites with each cleaning/treatment. All I can say is, I really, really miss the original doctors whom all shared a genuine concern for all my animals and shame on me for letting my dog suffer for so long. Needless to say, Sky will no longer go to PHPH.
