I am a Native to Buncombe County. I had been seeing another OBGYN in Asheville where I was advised a pap smear had come back bad and would need to be sent to Raleigh for additional diagnosis. When it came back as cancer cells I was obviously scared out of my mind. Two years and three Leap procedures later that same doctor recommended yet another painful Leap procedure as the cancer cells were no longer on the outside of my cervix but actually going into the opening of my cervix. At this point I asked if I could not just simply have my cervix removed. I pointed out that I was DEFINATLY finished having children, suffered with Severe Manic Deprssion/Bipolar disorder which had gone hay wire throughout the past two years from stressing with this diagnosis, and that I also had cystic ovaries and suffered from pain with those and had been told I most likely would never be able to concieve again. The doctor refused to give ma a hyserectomy because of my age 28 years old. I went to see
