On Friday (September 24, 2010), my 2 year old chihuahua was attacked by a large dog and was in critical condition. He had a large mass on the right side of his ribcage, puncture wounds, and was shaking from the intensity of the pain. I called my local Petsmart/Banfield Pet Hospital where my dog is normally seen and informed them of the situation and that I would be there shortly. The staff and Dr. Tate was there waiting upon my arrival and were very fast in assessing the severity of his situation and giving him meds to alleviate his pain. They were very concerned and sympathetic. I arrived at 7 and they were scheduled to close at 8. Dr. Tate immediately took him back for surgery, let me say my goodbyes, and informed me she would call when she was done. She called around 10 saying the surgery was done and said he had an abdominal wall puncture and the bulge was an intestinal breech. THEY STAYED TILL 11 PM WITH MY DOG! They waited till he woke up and administered anti-nausea and pain med
