Having grown up with a family of race car drivers and working in an auto shop for 4 years, I know how to recognize a quality auto repair shop. I normally do all my own maintenance but some things I leave up to the professionals with the tools for the job. Currently I'm having Village Transmission rebuilding my front axle on my 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee. My budget is tight so Dave (one of the owners) has done everything he can to help me out. Dave had Mike, the mechanic doing the work, show me the parts that need replaced and help me find quality used parts to cut costs. He also R&R my wheel bearings for no charge other than parts, which I priced out and he?s supplying them below average. Other shops added one to three hours for the same service even though it only takes a few minutes to do during an axle rebuild.
I had the work they suggested quoted out from two other reputable shops and Village Transmission is saving about $800.00 to $1000 just two weeks before Christmas. I know ho
