It's would be great if everyone treated their clients as well as I was treated at Village Transmission. I'd never heard of them before AAA recomended them to me and I wasn't prepared to feel as at home as I did working with them. Great experience. I brought my Mercedes in for a basic repair but asked them to try to find the cause of something that was making it very hard to enjoy driving. My expectation was the repair would be at least $1500.00 or more so when they suggested what it might be and it would only cost $256.00 I was skeptical but agreed. Today, I love my Mercedes again. It hasn't run this smooth in years. I can't believe it still how great it feels. Great personal, kind, and friendly service, fair estimates and solid, capable mechanics. more

Never Again 1/14/2012

I needed a 30,000 mile service done on my Hyundai Tucson, The dealership quoted me $470. I called Village Transmission as there were near where I live and I thought, ""They have to be less expensive than a dealership, Right?"" WRONG. They would not quote me a price up front and instead told me that they would just see what needed to be done and do only that to save the customer money. I left my car with them, and did get a loaner to use for the day (yes, that was nice). They later called me and gave me a price of about $425 to do everything but change my transmission fluid (which was included in the dealer quote). They told me that if I wanted to get my transmission fluid changed it would be $886.00! They insisted that yes, that was the correct price. I told them to skip the transmission fluid change. End result- when I brought in the dealer quote and showed them, and then applied to coupon I had received in the mail I paid about $380. I later asked a friend who works in the business what they thought. They consulted their service techs and came back wtih, ""They saw a woman who did not know about cars and costs and thought they would take advantage of the situation. I later got my transmission fluild changed and another oil change, at the dealership, for about $138.00. I will never give this place my business again. more

Thanks so much for the quick and excellent service! 11/29/2010

Curt was wonderful in getting his techs here to check out my car, in getting someone to tow the car to the shop, and then in getting it back to me! The problem didn't have anything to do with the battery; it was a new problem: frozen condensation. My mother always told me to keep my gas tank full; I hate it when my mother is right!\r \r Because Curt was able to get people here, work on the car, and bring it back, I was able to focus on my own work and not take too much time away from my office plus I had my car working again in time for the Thanksgiving Holiday.\r \r Thanks so much for the quick and excellent service! more

I was having transmission issues with my classic Cadillac so I trusted these guys to take a look and do the necessary repairs. What a mistake. They failed to follow any of my special care advice for the car and left it out of gas and with a dead battery in their salvage yard when I came to pick it up. In fact I had called about two hours before I arrived to pick it up and they said it would be ready to go in the main parking lot. It wasn't and it took me an extra hour to get it started after I arrived and paid the bill. One of the extra services I had them perform was a radiator flush, but they screwed that up as well and failed to add enough coolant to the overflow tank. $450 for a radiator flush and a transmission service and it wasn't even done correctly. These guys are a joke, if you care about your car I would advise you to take it elsewhere. more

Good, fair and reliable. 12/30/2009

I needed a shop that could think outside the box to fix a bus power steering problem that a large truck shop could not figure out. Dave and tech Mike solved the problem in a few hours at a fair price. Since then I have taken my other vehicles to Dave for transmission and routine work. Dave, Dan and Jerry Earp are capable, polite and good businessmen. If auto repair can be pleasurearable, it's there. They have won my business. more

Village Transmission is honest, ethical and professional service. 12/9/2009

Having grown up with a family of race car drivers and working in an auto shop for 4 years, I know how to recognize a quality auto repair shop. I normally do all my own maintenance but some things I leave up to the professionals with the tools for the job. Currently I'm having Village Transmission rebuilding my front axle on my 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee. My budget is tight so Dave (one of the owners) has done everything he can to help me out. Dave had Mike, the mechanic doing the work, show me the parts that need replaced and help me find quality used parts to cut costs. He also R&R my wheel bearings for no charge other than parts, which I priced out and he?s supplying them below average. Other shops added one to three hours for the same service even though it only takes a few minutes to do during an axle rebuild. I had the work they suggested quoted out from two other reputable shops and Village Transmission is saving about $800.00 to $1000 just two weeks before Christmas. I know ho more
