I had a dog that was older and we knew the time would be coming to make a tough call but we wanted to wait until it had to be done. She kept having accidents in the house and we took her to Dr Shepard. At first he said with her age and being spayed lets try antibiotics and meds and after a week if that doesn't help bring her back. Well that seemed to help for about a month but the accidents came back. When we returned he did an xray and ultrasound. He took a urine sample to mail off and see what it showed. When he first did the ultrasound he couldn't really see much but after filling her bladder to get the urine he did a second ultrasound. After that ultrasound he came in and showed us what he saw. There was a tumor on her bladder wall. Many vets would have not even done the second ultrasound and sent off the urine and charged us for all of that. Dr Shepard did not charge for the urine or the ultrasound. He was one of those vets that truly does care for the animals! He realizes that pe
