Took my cat here for a UTI infection. Having had a number of cats over the years, I know what needs to be done with a serious UTI problem. This place, instead of testing his urine and putting him on antibiotics right away, wanted to start him out on an anti-inflammatory instead, told me they could not promise me anything, did not offer to test his urine for crystals but wanted to keep him overnight for observation, all for the starting cost of approximately $1,000. The costs could be higher in the end I was told if catherization was required and the cat needed to be sedated. My daughter was with me and we just looked at each other with incredulous eyes. Nothing made sense.\r \r I told the DVM I wasn't born yesterday, that I have other cats and have had plenty of experience with feline UTI problems in the past and just give me an antibiotic; I will start my cat on that immediately and take him to my regular vet in the morning (which I did.)
