Review content:
I have seen Paul's advertisements in Hemmings since before I could drive. Over the years (he has been in Hemmings continously for 38 years) I decided it would be fun to buy a car from him. Finaly, the stars alligned. I needed a new daily driver and I was going to be in Cleveland for a full day of meetings anyway.\r \r So, I called Paul on his 1994 MB S420. He told me the car was 100%, everything worked, etc. Of course, I had heard this before from other dealers, but (as I sort of social experiment) I took his word for it and wired the money for the car sight-unseen, with no inspection, etc.\r \r I booked a one way ticket to Cincinatti and took car service from the airport to pick up the car. I had to be in Cleveland for business the next day, and I took the condition of the car totally on faith.\r \r When I arrived, I found the car was BETTER than represented. I drove it from Cincinatti to Cleveland and then on to NY, about 14 hours of driving in all - and the car performed absolutely flawlessly. I am thrilled with the car and would not hesitate to buy from Paul again.\r \r I am something of a collector (I own two other Mercedes, three Ferraris, a BMW, a Land Rover, etc.) and I have bought lots of cars sight unseen. They are almost always worse than represented. Paul is one of about two guys on earth that have sold me cars that were better than they were described. \r \r I can not recommend Paul Padget's Vintage Sales higly enough.\r \r Pros: Totally honest - cars described 100% accurately Cons: Too far away from my home in NY
