Better have the car thoroughly checked out for rust before you buy from Paul Padget. This man has been selling vintage cars for decades, and will rip you off. He will not disclose rust, its up to you to find it before ever giving him money. You should have any car sold by Paul Padget Vintage Sales in Columbus Oh inspected by a knowledgeable mechanic and not by his mechanic, Precision Motorcars or any other of his mechanics he suggests. He sold me a Mercedes that had been made cosmetically perfect for casual inspection through extensive paint and bodywork, after I paid for it and got it home, my mechanic discovered the whole underside of the car was rusted out and was unable to be repaired. The spring perchs of the front suspension were rusted out, and the rear suspension which is just held together and to the car by a triangle, was completely rusted out, to the point where my mechanic was worried the rear triangle was going to break off on the road. This guy refused to give my money back, and after I contacted him about the rust, he refused to answer his phone or return my calls. I blew over 10K on this car, and after I got it home, I found out it was worthless. No one with any conscience would knowingly sell a car to a woman, in this rusted out condition. Considering that his specialty is vintage cars, there is no way he could have not known about the rust, as that is something vintage auto sellers know all too well. Coming from CA, and never encountering the rust problem, he saw me coming a mile away. Paul Padget is unethical and adds insult to injury by blowing off the people he rips off, once he has your money. Buyer beware.
Cons: Unethical sales and advertising practices, lack of accessibility once he gets your money
