Today's appointment was our last. Wait time for an appointment is typically a month+. On at least 3 occasions in the last couple years a scheduled appt was moved out another week or two due to Drs. scheduling/unavailability. Showed up this a.m. for an 8:30 only to find they'd canceled it b/c a confirmation phone call was supposedly not returned. What!?! We took off work, kept the child out of school. The appt was reset.....for a month from now! I commend the community service in treating Medicaid patients but what happened to the old penalty of just charging if someone missed? This non-Medicaid patient would prefer to have to pay something like that as opposed to being put back in line with everyone else a month later as though it was a county clinic.
