I've had a mixed experience with Mike Jones Floor Company. He has done two refinishing jobs for me, both in Upper St. Clair. The first was in an approximately 50-year-old house we lived in for 13 years. Mike refinished the oak floors there before we moved in, and they were absolutely beautiful for the entire 13 years. Then we moved to a house in the same neighborhood. This house is also about 50 years old. Mike refinished these floors before we moved in as well. But on moving day we noticed that the floors seemed dull and were scratching easily. So I called Mike. He came out in a few days and agreed that we had to put another coat of polyurethane on the floors - apparently they were so old and dry that they needed more than the two coats he used. Painfully for us, this meant removing ALL the furniture, which we had just paid a moving company to move and place.
