My samples arrived from Hurst Hardwoods today. It was less than a week since I made my request, so I give them high marks for their quick response. I was quite pleased that not only were the sample pieces of nice size, they went to the trouble of sending me two of each specie I requested so that I could get a better idea of color variation within each specie. This was a unexpected yet welcomed surprise as it gave me a better idea of what to expect when trying to find a product that would blend in with other areas of my home. With the different plank widths and thickness, I was able to compare it to some products I was considering locally and I must say, I was quite impressed in this area as well. The sample pieces were beautiful and put my "local" samples to shame, not only with the number of layers (engineered hardwoods) but also the quality of the actual wear layers.
I have one last local supplier to compare the Hurst Hardwoods products to and although the cost of shipping will put me over my budget, I am more than willing to hold off on my project to save up for the added cost of shipping if it means I will have this beautiful wood flooring in my home.
