Our roof leaked and the insurance company sent out a restoration company to access the damage. The restortaion company rep recommended The Roofing Company to us. The Roofing Company sent Jim Smith to give us an estimate. He spent 2 hrs. accessing our roof and the damages. He was in our attic twice, on top of the roof twice and he took digital photos from inside the attic, on top of the roof and from the ground. This was in September and it was in the high 80's. He sat down and explained in detail what specific repairs needed to be made. He could have told us that our 13 yr-old roof had to be completely replaced and we would have believed him, but he didn't. He told us the repairs would give us the several more years that our budget needed the roof to last. When he left, we had his estimate, photos and recommendations and business card. We also had a projected date for when we could expect the job to be completed. It didn't cost us anything. Best of all, he had 13 years experience installing roofs, so he knew what he was talking about, he wasn't just a "guestimator." When it came time to do the repairs, a 2-man team arrived. Adrian, the foreman, was wonderful. His team usually does the slate roof repairs, but we were lucky to have him repair our 3-tab shingle roof. He answered all of our questions and was very knowledgeable. The repairs were done quickly and are very neat. The color doesn't exactly match due to the shingles being older, but the difference is insignificant. They also replaced the chimney cap on our chimney, all of the vent covers and pipe collars. Overall, we feel very confident with the repairs that were made. Everyone we came in contact with were well-trained, pleasant and very professional. Would we use The Roofing Company again? Most definitely yes! Have we recommended The Roofing Company to our friends? Yes again, and when we replace our roof and get rid of our skylights; that's right, we will be calling The Roofing Company. It is so hard to find a reputable contractor and there are alot of "here today, gone tomorrow" roofing contractors out there; it is buyer beware. We are so glad we listened to the restoration rep and called The Roofing Company. We never did call around for another estimate, there was no need to. These guys are that good.
