I was on a road trip driving from Bay Area to Seattle. I picked up a this July month Sunset magazine as I arrived and saw an article which Arita was first listed for best place for Japanese cuisine. Just like the article said " a hole in the wall wander on Phinney Ridge/Greenwood" It was one and the only...with no imitation ~ and incredibly good. Not to mention their attentive servers with great smiles ;)
Try their sushi/sashimi varieties.
Pros: homey atmosphere, generous service, cheap food
Cons: fairly crowded
