First of all a diagnosis fee of $29 is ridiculous. We have renters in an apt and the hot water heater malfunctioned. we had furr go out and check it. the repairman said he could fix a valve for $500 but said only 1/10 times that was the fix. Instead he tried to sell us a whole new unit for $3000. We decided not to have him repair or replace. We had a second company come out for free and diagnosis the problem. The same valve that furr said could not be replaced, the second company replaced and guaranteed his work for only $350. The second company is like having your own plumber. I would never recommend FH Furr to anyone. This is the kind of stuff that 60 minutes does special reports on. Servicemen trying to rip off customers. That guy needs to be fired.
