VCA Rotherwood Animal Hospital is by far the best veterinary office in the Newton/Brookline/Cambridge/Boston area. I have three dogs who have been seeing Dr. Tamara Kremer Mecabell since 2009. Each of my dogs has their own special issues; Dr. Kremer has always been sensitive to their needs, recommending the best treatment to make sure that the dog fully recovers. I have also used VCA Rotherwood for dog emergencies, in fact it's the first place I go when one of my dogs has an emergency. The staff are extremely experienced when dealing with an animal emergency, making sure there is no wait time whatsoever (even at Angell, you'll have a bit of a wait time) and that the animal is seen immediately by a vet. In regard to regular visits, including yearly physicals/shots, I have always found the receptionists, veterinary technicians, kennel staff and of course the veterinarians to be highly professional. Each individual at VCA Rotherwood is highly educated in their field and there is always a high level of compassion towards animals and their owners. Why anyone wouldn't choose VCA Rotherwood for their pets is beyond me. As a pet owner, VCA Rotherwood in Newton, Massachusetts is the only place to go for my furry family members.
