I traveled from Destin to Fort Walton 15 miles on a Tuesday nite to eat at the Black Pearl. There were five people in our party. We arrived at the restaurant around 7:30 PM there was a sign out front saying closed for a private party. They recommeded we try other restaurants in the boardwalk complex. Since it was late we tried another Restaurant in the complex. Later I was walking around and saw someone out front at the Black Pearl. I walked up to find out why they would close their place to the walk in public for a private party. The owner or manager said he would do it anytime there was a chance to rent out the whole place. I told him I never heard of a restaurant doing this to the walk up public. If you want to eat there you better call ahead to see if it is closed for a private party.
